Mentor Testimonials
“I have been an instructor with Veritas AI since 2020. I really enjoyed working here and I have had a lot of fun working with students from different backgrounds in the field of data science and machine learning. I have students graduating from Veritas to pursue their undergraduate education in Stanford University, UCLA, UMich Ann-Arbor, and many other top universities in the United States. I sincerely encourage any audience to join the Veritas AI family as a student, a mentor, or a staff member. I look forward to working with all of you.”

“My time working with Veritas AI has provided me with valuable work experience. It is truly a privilege to work with diverse mentors and students from around the world and share a common interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning. My favorite part of working with Veritas AI is providing students with foundational skills such as programming, teamwork, and communication that they will carry with them throughout their education and their journeys with AI. In terms of my own professional development, mentoring has helped me strengthen my teaching and leadership skills, as well as the ability to explain complex concepts to people with different backgrounds. I love sharing my passion for AI with students, and Veritas AI has empowered me to interact with so many bright, curious students. I highly recommend Veritas AI to mentors and students alike!”

"As I teach the Veritas AI programs, I always wish I had the opportunity to engage in such opportunities as a high school student myself. The caliber of programming and guidance that Veritas AI provides for high school students is exceptional, and I truly believe that this immersive education opens many doors early on for students interested in the field."

- B.S. ‘21 in Statistics and Data Science from Yale
“Veritas AI is unique in that it goes beyond the mechanics of building AI. The program really emphasizes the underlying concepts and practices that data scientists use to improve AI models, evaluate their performance, and probe their flaws. By the end of the program, students can not only build AI models, but they can also apply them to new contexts and evaluate the ethical implications of their use. Moreover, it’s all done in a way that’s approachable for high school students, as long as they’ve had some introductory coding experience.”

- PhD Candidate ‘24 in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Michigan
"My time with Veritas AI has been incredible. Getting to share knowledge in a field I am passionate about with young, driven students is both rewarding and engaging. Quite often, I get the chance to learn alongside my students as we explore models, topics, and research in cutting-edge fields. Whether it be in the small-cohort context or in individualized explorations of topics and research projects, each lesson is a new opportunity to explore a topic or algorithm. Above all else, watching students develop as professionals and data scientists is the most meaningful aspect."

“I’ve really enjoyed being a mentor for Veritas. There is a lot of support for mentors - clear instructions, easy to use teaching resources, and a great team who are available to help answer any of your questions. The hours are flexible, and the variety of projects and courses means that I’m always learning something new. I feel that Veritas values me as an individual as well as a mentor. They respect and support my university and life commitments, which helps me to do the best job I can as a mentor.”

“Veritas AI empowers students to solve real-world problems using modern methods in machine learning. Both the AI Scholars and AI Fellowship are programs I would have loved to participate in as a high school student. It's a privilege to be part of an organization that is revolutionizing AI education and making a positive impact on students' lives.”
